CTOnews.com, Nov. 2 (Xinhua)-- the new film "rise of the Planet of the Apes: the Kingdom" released its first trailer today. The film will be released in North America on May 24 next year.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, the rise of the Planet of the Apes: the Kingdom began filming last October. 20th Century Pictures says the film, directed by Wes Bauer, director of the moving Maze series, will open a new chapter in the classic sci-fi series many years after the end of rising of the Planet of the Apes: the Ultimate Battle. The timeline of the film is set many years after the rise of the Planet of the Apes: the Ultimate Battle.

The rise of the Planet of the Apes was released on Chinese mainland on October 28, 2011. The sequel rise of the Planet of the Apes: battle of the Dawn was released in North America on July 11, 2014, and the final Battle of the Planet of the Apes 3 was released in the United States on July 14, 2017.
