CTOnews.com, Nov. 2, according to Deadline, the second season of Game of Thrones spin-off "the Family of Dragons" was broadcast in the summer of 2024. HBO boss Casey Bloys confirmed the news at the HBO event held in New York today, at which media members saw the first trailer of the second season.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, production of Game of Thrones spin-offs began in April this year. According to reports, the HBO series was filmed at Leavisden Warner Bros. Studios, and the first public photo shows the Iron Throne in the hall of Red Castle. The cast for season 2 includes Matt Smith, Olivia Cook, Emma Darcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabian Frankel, Ivan Mitchell, Tom Green Carney, Sonia Mizuno and Reese Evans.

The Family of Dragons, adapted from George R R Martin's Fire and Blood, is set 200 years before Game of Thrones and tells the story of the Targaryen family. In August last year, the first episode of the show was released on HBO Max, making it the most watched premiere in its history.
