CTOnews.com news on November 2, Salvatore Sanfilippo (antirez), the founder of the well-known database caching tool Redis, uploaded a chat server project called Smallchat on GitHub and wrote a service with a core code of only 300 lines in C language.

Antirez said in the project introduction that this is just a system programming example for several front-end developers, the smallest chat server he can write, with only 200 lines of core code (excluding spaces and comments), and even a user-defined nickname.

Antirez also said that there are some very interesting parts of the project, including individual processes that perform multiplexing, get client status and try to quickly access that state after the client has new data, and interested CTOnews.com partners can view the code in the project.
