CTOnews.com November 2 news, Samsung today released the third quarter 2023 report, third-quarter revenue of 8.22 trillion won (CTOnews.com note: currently about 44.388 billion yuan), month-on-month growth of 27%, down 13%; operating profit of 1.94 trillion won (currently about 10.476 billion yuan), about double the month-on-month increase.

Samsung showed a slight increase in demand for its mobile display units year-on-year due to seasonal demand and new products from major smartphone makers.

Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, Samsung said it expects mobile display sales to continue to be strong due to seasonal growth in the smartphone and IT industries. However, inflation and rising interest rates may dampen economic growth. The company plans to use its high-end market power and launch new collapsible products to offset this impact.

Although demand forecasts for large display screens are tepid due to economic challenges, Samsung's goal is to reduce losses by optimizing its product portfolio.
