If these batteries are used and the clamps are not properly tightened, the batteries may move when the vehicle turns sharply. This movement may cause the positive pole of the battery to come into contact with the clamp and short circuit, increasing the risk of fire.

Toyota is currently preparing remedial measures, and after the relevant measures are introduced, Toyota dealers will replace the improved battery top assembly and clamp for car owners free of charge, and notify the owners concerned before the end of this year.

A slight impact on the lower cover assembly of the front bumper may cause the mounting piece to detach from the vehicle during normal operation, and one or more parts of the assembly may fall off, increasing the risk of collision or injury to other road users.
