According to the open letter, in September 2021, Xiaopeng unveiled its first P5 car series with two lidars, and Xiaopeng founder he Xiaopeng announced: P5 supports CNGP and will open cities across the country in the future. However, up to now, only some roads in five cities support CNGP, which can not meet the needs of cities all over the country.

At this year's Xiaopeng Automobile 1024 Technology Day, Xiaopeng announced that XNGP (full scene Intelligent driving) will support autopilot in 25-50 cities by the end of the year, but the P5, as the first model of CNGP, "does not get any support", and the 2024 Xiaopeng P5 is no longer equipped with high-order chip + radar.

In addition, during Xiaopeng Automobile 1024 Technology Day, the official released the next generation Xiaopeng intelligent cockpit system XOS Tianji, which supports all cars with horizontal central control screens (CTOnews.com Note: including sedan P7, sedan SUV G6, medium and large SUV G9 and the upcoming MPV X9), but the G3 and P5 cars with vertical central control screens are not mentioned. According to the open letter, car owners tried to contact the authorities but got a response "because the P5 is vertical and does not support adaptation".
