CTOnews.com, November 2, the world's first AI security summit was held in Bletchley Park Park in the United Kingdom yesterday, and 28 countries, including China, the United States, and the European Union, signed the Bletchley AI Declaration (Bletchley Declaration).

The Bletchley AI Declaration calls for and advocates people-oriented, and hopes that AI research institutions and enterprises will design, develop and use AI in a responsible manner.

The Declaration affirms the great potential of AI in improving human well-being, warns of intentional or unintentional harm in the development of AI, and hopes to avoid related risks through regulations and other means.

CTOnews.com Note: the AI Security Summit lasts two days. In addition to representatives of more than 20 governments, there are also seven international multilateral organizations, as well as more than 80 academic and scientific research institutions, enterprises and civic organizations.

According to the official agenda, many institutions such as the Allen Turing Institute in the UK, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, DeepMind in the UK, Google in the US, Tencent in China, Alibaba and other well-known enterprises, as well as a number of well-known experts in the field of AI attended the summit, focusing on the risks that AI technology may bring.

Chinese Vice Minister of Science and Technology Wu Zhaohui said at the opening ceremony that China is willing to strengthen dialogue and communication with all parties in the field of artificial intelligence security so as to contribute to the establishment of a governance framework that requires global participation and broad consensus. He said that countries, big or small, have equal rights to develop and use artificial intelligence.
