CTOnews.com, November 2 (Xinhua)-- Boeing responded to the previous hacking attack on Wednesday, local time, according to CNBC, saying that the hacker attack affected the company's global services business and parts division, but did not affect flight safety.

A Boeing spokesman said, "this incident will not affect flight safety, we are actively investigating and coordinating with law enforcement and regulatory authorities, and we are notifying customers and suppliers."

Previously on PexelsCTOnews.com: security company VX Underground recently found that the hacker team Lockbit issued an announcement on the Dark Network Forum, claiming that they had successfully invaded Boeing and obtained a lot of internal information, threatening to release the relevant content if they could not get the ransom.

The Lockbit team gave Boeing six days to contact it and will not disclose internal information before the deadline, but if Boeing does not contact actively, the hackers will release the relevant content to the public.

The Lockbit team said they hacked into Boeing using an undisclosed zero-day vulnerability, but did not disclose details of the vulnerability, while Boeing officials said they were reviewing and confirming LockBit's claims.

According to the U.S. Cyber Security and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Lockbit was the world's most active blackmail software organization last year, based on the number of victims claimed on its data breach blog.

The group claims to have invaded more than 1600 organizations. Since 2020, victims in the United States alone have paid more than $90 million (currently about 659 million yuan) in ransom.
