CTOnews.com, Nov. 2 (Xinhua)-- LinkedIn has launched a new artificial intelligence chat robot that aims to become a job coach for users and help them find their next job. The chat robot, powered by OpenAI's GPT-4 technology, will be launched to advanced subscribers on Wednesday and will help users assess whether a job application is worth their time.

To open the chat robot, simply go to a job posting page and select a question question (question prompt), such as "am I right for the job?" Or "how should I prepare for this job?" The chatbot will analyze your profile and experience and then give something like "your profile shows that you have a wealth of experience in marketing and event planning, which is related to this position." That's the answer.

CTOnews.com noted that in order to make the robot's experience more smooth, LinkedIn engineers had to reduce the delays associated with queries. Erran Berger, vice president of product engineering at LinkedIn, said in an interview with CNBC: "We have to build a lot of things on our own to solve this problem and make it a fast experience. When you have these conversational experiences, sometimes it's almost like search-you expect it to be real-time, so we have to develop some real platform capabilities to do that."

Another problem is the security of artificial intelligence. LinkedIn says it has invested a lot of resources to ensure that chatbots meet its responsible artificial intelligence standards.

In terms of functionality, LinkedIn has added a unique ability to let chatbots show users some LinkedIn users working in companies where they are browsing positions. It will pick out users who have a second-or third-degree relationship with the user, so that the user can send them a message about the job opportunity and selectively let artificial intelligence write the message content.
