Officially released the first power IoT operating system based on OpenHarmony, which covers different types and brands of power equipment for the first time, and realizes plug-and-play and massive data interconnection, which provides a set of power IoT operating system for the access, operation and maintenance of large-scale IoT equipment in the new power system in the future, and fills the domestic gap in this field.

At present, with the acceleration of the construction of new power system, the four-dimensional interaction of "source network load storage" has become the key to the real-time dynamic balance of power system, but there are still great obstacles to the interaction between supply and demand of all kinds of distributed new energy and load terminals; on the other hand, with the substantial increase in the scale of power Internet of things terminals and the increasing complexity of equipment, the Internet of things is facing great challenges in connection and equipment management. There is an urgent need for a unified and secure power IoT operating system in the domestic power system to interconnect fragmented power equipment and achieve collaborative scheduling among different services and scenarios. Under this background, the electronic interconnection operating system arises at the historic moment.

Based on the development of OpenHarmony, the DIY operating system has customized a function enhancement suite for the power industry, which provides a unified framework for the intelligence, interconnection and cooperation of different power devices, and implements a system to cover different kinds of power devices with different memory sizes for the first time. It has the following characteristics: first, it supports flexible assembly and flexible expansion, and adapts to the form of power multi-terminals; second, it unifies device interfaces and data protocol standards, and enables data interconnection between different power devices; third, it can achieve the Internet of everything, making the connection between devices more free, and equipment operation and maintenance to achieve "no screen becomes small screen, small screen becomes large screen". Fourth, it is more secure, through multi-technical verification, it can ensure that the equipment starts safely, the whole application link of the equipment is credible, improve the system toughness, anti-attack ability, and achieve the security and reliability of the whole power Internet of things.

It is understood that after the release of the electric power operating system, it will be widely used in all aspects of power production, such as "generation-transmission-transformation-distribution-use-storage". For example, when new energy is incorporated into the power grid, there is a huge amount of data analysis and processing behind it. After the optimization of the electric power equipment operating system, the data can be monitored and collected by the power equipment terminal, and the data can be exchanged on the network through a unified communication protocol, which can effectively improve the data processing ability. Maintain a dynamic balance between electricity consumption and power generation.

In addition, the promotion and use of the Internet operating system will also reduce the burden on grass-roots operation and maintenance personnel. Taking the upgrading of the equipment system as an example, with the maintainable and measurable capability of the DEC operating system, operators can upgrade the equipment in batches directly through the management and control platform, and the average upgrade time is reduced from 3 hours to 20 minutes, and the efficiency and security are greatly improved.

It is reported that at present, more than 100 partners have joined the ecology of the industrial chain, covering domestic mainstream chip, module and terminal manufacturers. The promotion of the operating system will also comprehensively promote the upgrading of the industrial chain in the field of IWU terminal in the power industry. It is estimated that by the end of 2024, the industrial chain will be expanded to more than 900sub-class equipment, achieving full coverage of 1.35 million IoT terminals in the field of transmission and distribution, and the scale of covering terminals will exceed 100 million by the end of 2025.

The release of the Internet of things operating system effectively fills the gap of the unified Internet of things operating system in the power industry. it realizes the on-site operation from manual to intelligent, the access configuration from tedious to convenient, and the equipment upgrade from "climbing down" to automation. In the future, with the addition of more industrial chain ecology, power digital equipment will evolve to deeper wisdom, the digital power grid will build a unified IoT base in an all-round way, and the vision of the Internet of everything in the power industry will gradually become a reality.
