A few days ago, users reported that if you install macOS 13.6-14 on related devices, and then install Asahi Linux, it will lead to system boot failure, resulting in a "black screen" situation.

It is reported that because the previous behavior of Asahi Linux when booting the system is similar to macOS 12.3 pick 12.4 Universe 13.5 (depending on the model and installation time), while macOS Sonoma (macOS 14) and macOS Ventura (macOS 13.6 +) do not consider the compatibility between the old version of firmware and the new firmware, the installation of devices with related systems will cause boot failure and the system's built-in recovery option (RecoveryOS) will not start.

According to officials, if a user's device is updated to macOS 13.6 or above, Asahi Linux should not be installed, otherwise the system boot failure is doomed, and the relevant devices can only be restored through other Mac devices in DFU mode.
