CTOnews.com, Nov. 1, Microsoft and Siemens announced that they will deepen their cooperation in the field of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and apply it to various industries around the world. In order to achieve a revolutionary breakthrough in human-computer collaboration, the two companies launched Siemens Industrial Copilot, an artificial intelligence assistant jointly developed to improve manufacturing productivity.
Siemens Industrial Copilot uses Microsoft's Azure OpenAI services, combined with Siemens' industrial expertise and its Xcelerator platform data, to quickly generate, optimize and debug complex automation code through natural language interaction. The companies say this can reduce some tasks that take weeks to a few minutes, such as the simulation process.
CTOnews.com notes that Copilot is also committed to improving efficiency throughout the industrial lifecycle by providing maintenance guidance to maintenance personnel and rapid simulation access to engineers. Carmaker Schaeffler Group will be one of the first companies to adopt the product and will generate reliable robot programming code for its engineers.
