CTOnews.com Nov 1, Nintendo Switch platform will lose its Twitch app. The live streaming giant announced today that Twitch applications will not be downloaded from the Switch platform from November 6, and existing users will cease access on January 31, 2024.

Twitch sent the following statement to IGN:

We recently made a difficult decision to remove the Twitch app from Nintendo Switch. Nintendo remains an important partner and we thank the Switch community for all the support it has provided to Twitch and our streaming media.

CTOnews.com looked at the eShop store page and found that the Switch Twitch app was first launched in 2021 and can only be used to watch live streaming on Twitch, but not to broadcast Switch content to Twitch.
