CTOnews.com, November 1, according to the latest information shared by Moore's Law Is Dead (MLID), AMD has postponed the release of the Sarlak / Strix Halo processor until 2025.

In the video, MLID shares a roadmap for AMD's next-generation CPU, in which the Sarlak for Apple's M-series chips has been postponed until 2025.

Sarlak / Strix HaloStrix Halo, also known as Sarlak, is a multi-chiplet derivative of Strix Point, with 16 Zen5 cores and 40 CU RDNA3.5 kernels.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Sarlak can provide 45-50 TOPS, an increase of about five times over current Phoenix Point products.

AI capabilities greatly improved one OEM told MLID that Microsoft has now set the minimum INT8 baseline for APU to about 45-50 TOPS. This is to ensure that all AI-centric integrations in Windows 11, such as Coilot, work smoothly.
