The Southern Power Grid Company said that the power Hongmeng OS can be applied to all aspects of power production, such as "generation, transmission, transformation, distribution, and use". For example, behind the integration of new energy into the grid is massive data analysis and processing, and after the power equipment terminal monitors and collects data, the data can be exchanged on the network through a unified communication protocol, which can effectively improve data processing capacity and maintain the dynamic balance between electricity consumption and generation.

The promotion and use of Power Hongmeng OS will reduce the burden on grass-roots operation and maintenance personnel. Taking the upgrading of equipment system as an example, with the help of the maintainability of Power Hongmeng OS, operators can upgrade equipment in batches directly through the management and control platform, and the average upgrade time is reduced from 3 hours to 20 minutes, with efficiency and security greatly improved.

CTOnews.com learned from the press conference that at present, more than 100 partners have joined the ecology of Dianyongwu industrial chain, covering domestic mainstream chip, module and terminal manufacturers. It is expected that by the end of 2024, the industrial chain will be expanded to more than 900 sub-category equipment, realizing full coverage of 1.35 million IoT terminals in the field of transmission and distribution, and covering terminals with a scale of more than 100 million by the end of 2025.
