CTOnews.com, November 1 (Xinhua)-- Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway sold 825,000H shares of BYD at an average price of HK $245.86 per share on October 25, reducing its shareholding from 8.05% to 7.98%, according to Hong Kong stock exchange filings.

CTOnews.com noted that Berkshire Hathaway cashed out about HK $201.7 million. Berkshire Hathaway currently owns 87.6131 million shares in BYD. According to the disclosure rules of the HKEx, major shareholders need to make disclosure only if they increase or decrease their holdings across a certain integer percentage.

According to the official website of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Berkshire Hathaway, which has owned BYD shares for more than a decade, has launched 13 consecutive actions to reduce its H shares since its first reduction on August 24, 2022, falling from 19.92% on August 24, 2022 to less than 8% today.

On October 30, BYD announced that revenue in the third quarter was 162.151 billion yuan, an increase of 38.49% over the same period last year, and the net profit belonging to shareholders of listed companies in the third quarter was 10.413 billion yuan, up 82.16% from the same period last year.
