CTOnews.com, Nov. 1 (Xinhua)-- Apple brought a new "Deep Sky Black" color to the 14-inch 16-inch MacBook Pro in its "Fast coming" theme event yesterday. Many users may think that this color will absorb fingerprints very much, but according to the tests of many media on the spot, the fingerprint sucking phenomenon is much lower than expected.

The Verge's Dan Seifert (Dan Seifert) said:

It took me about 30 seconds to touch the new Deep Space Black MacBook Pro model, which actually has much fewer fingerprints than I expected, but its actual durability requires further evaluation at a later stage.

I put my greasy fingers on a "deep sky black" MacBook Pro, which actually shows better resistance to fingerprints and other stains, in line with Apple's official propaganda.

But I don't want to exaggerate this function, you'll still see fingerprints, but it's not that obvious. This is a big improvement for products such as the midnight black version of MacBook Air.

I also need to warn you not to get too excited about "Deep Sky Black". It's actually dark gray, just a little darker than the existing "Deep Sky Gray". It's still shiny metallic gray.

It is still a far cry from the black we saw on polycarbonate MacBook in the mid-2000s. As you can see in the photo below, the MacBook can look brighter or darker depending on the lighting conditions, much like Apple's midnight color. However, compared with this color, MacBook Pro does not seem to be easy to fingerprint.
