Just this morning, Apple's new product launch came to an end, and as previously thought, the event focused on Mac devices.

Apple not only brought a new M3 series of chips, but also unveiled three products equipped with new chips: MacBook Pro 14/16 and iMac.

Next, Yuzi takes stock of a wave of new Apple products for everyone.

At the launch conference, Apple introduced the soul of Mac devices-M3 series chips: M3, M3 Pro, M3 Max.

From the specific specifications, these three chips as always "hierarchical."

The M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max are all built on a 3nm process.

Among them, M3 has 8 cores CPU (4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores), 10 cores GPU and up to 24 GB memory.

The M3 Pro has a 12-core CPU (6 performance cores and 6 efficiency cores), an 18-core GPU, and up to 36 GB of memory.

The M3 Max has a 16-core CPU (12 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores), a 40-core GPU, and up to 128 GB of memory.

Apple claims that the M3 series CPU is 30% higher than the M1 and 15% higher than the M2. Compared with the M1 / M2, the CPU power consumption is reduced by 50%/30% respectively.

Specifically, in terms of CPU, M3 is 35%/20% higher than M1 / M2, M3 Pro is 20% higher than M1 Pro, and M3 Max is 80%/50% higher than M1 Max / M2 Max.

In terms of GPU, M3 is 65%/20% higher than M1 / M2, M3 Pro is 40%/10% higher than M1 Pro / M2 Pro, and M3 Max is 50%/20% higher than M1 Max / M2 Max.

It is worth mentioning that the M3 series chips adopt a new GPU architecture, and officials say they have achieved the largest leap in graphics processor architecture in the history of Apple chips.

Not only is it faster and more energy efficient, but it also has two major improvements.

On the one hand, it has the first dynamic caching technology, which can allocate the use of local memory in hardware in real time; on the other hand, it supports mesh shading rendering and hardware-level ray tracing acceleration, which is also the first time Mac has introduced it.

Significantly improve average GPU utilization while delivering significant performance improvements for more demanding professional apps and games.

In addition, the three chips support multiple codecs, including H.264, HEVC, ProRes and ProRes RAW, and AV1.

Overall, the M3 and M3 Pro upgrades are relatively limited, while the M3 Max upgrade is more obvious.

Apple stepped on the toothpaste this time, squeezed it hard and then retracted it. Compared with the M1 series, the M3 series would be a lot faster, but compared with the M2 series, the improvement was a little unsatisfactory.

After watching the launch conference, Mac users of the M2 version are expected to be able to keep their hearts still, while users of the M1 version can consider upgrading as needed.

After the MacBook Pro 14/16 debuted in the M3 series chip, it was followed by the Mac product equipped with it, MacBook Pro 14/16 debut.

Among them, MacBook Pro 14 three chips "all want," MacBook Pro 16 does not have M3 version.

Apple says the MacBook Pro 16 with the M3 Pro is 20% faster than the M2 Pro and 40% faster than the M1 Pro.

And whether it's 14 or 16 inches, MacBook Pro will come with up to 128 GB of unified memory. In contrast, the MacBook Pro with the current M2 chip supports up to 96 GB of unified memory.

At the launch, Apple routinely "tortured" Intel chips, saying that the M3 version of the MacBook Pro is 11 times faster than Intel-powered Macs.

In addition, all new MacBook Pro models feature Liquid Retina XDR displays that increase SDR content brightness by 20%, a built-in 1080p camera and immersive six-speaker sound system, and a wealth of connectivity options.

And Apple says it offers "the longest battery life ever for a Mac," with equivalent performance on either external or battery power.

Specifically: M3 MacBook Pro 14, M3 Pro / M3 Max MacBook Pro 16 can watch video continuously for 22 hours. The M3 Pro / M3 Max MacBook Pro 14 can watch up to 18 hours of video continuously.

It should be noted that Apple has introduced a new "deep space black" color scheme for the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models equipped with M3 Pro and M3 Max chips.

The Deep Space color scheme has a black aluminum appearance, which officials say is very durable.

You know, Apple hasn't launched a Mac product with black color for a long time. The last time "Apple Little Black Book" appeared, it dates back to 2005.

For black body lovers, this is definitely a surprise.

At present, the price of M3 MacBook Pro 14/16 has been announced, starting at 12999 yuan and 19999 yuan respectively. It will be ordered from today and officially sold from November 7.

It should be noted that compared with the M3 Pro and M3 Max versions, the M3 MacBook Pro 14 has castrated the USB-C Thunderbolt 4 interface on the right side and only two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 interfaces on the left side.

In addition, the memory bandwidth of the new MacBook Pro 14/16 with M3 Pro / Max is also reduced compared with the old model. The memory bandwidth of the new MacBook Pro 14/16 is 150 GB/s, compared with 200 GB/s for M1 Pro / Max and M2 Pro / Max models.

The memory bandwidth of the M3 MacBook Pro 14 has even shrunk to 100 GB/s.

Three years after iMac left, iMac finally ushered in an update, compared with the previous generation, the appearance of the new model has not changed too much, still rainbow color, but the chip is replaced with a new M3.

Thanks to the M3 chip, the new iMac will make significant improvements in speed, gaming experience, machine learning, video performance and more.

Specific to the design, the new iMac color scheme is also the main color, available in green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, silver 7 kinds, at the same time provide the same series color scheme, novel design of the new wallpaper.

The new iMac's screen size is still 24 inches, quality is 11.3 million pixels 4.5K retina display, support P3 wide color gamut, more than 1 billion colors and 500 nits brightness, as well as support for TrueTone primary color display, automatic color temperature adjustment, anti-reflective coating and so on.

In other configurations, the new iMac supports high-speed Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.3, up to 2x faster download speeds than its predecessor, and can connect to the latest Bluetooth accessories, equipped with a 1080p FaceTime camera, studio-grade microphones, a high-fidelity six-speaker system, and support for spatial audio.

The new iMac comes with a keyboard, mouse and trackpad in the same color scheme; an optional Smart Keyboard with Touch ID and fast user switching based on Touch ID.

Of course, there is no absence of Intel and older models, Apple said, compared to the 27-inch top Intel model, M3 iMac performance improved 2.5 times, compared to the M1 24-inch iMac, performance has a four-fold improvement.

It is worth noting that the new iMac still comes with a wonderful keyboard and mouse (wonderful control board) using Lightning interface, and includes a USB-C to Lightning braided cable, Apple also does not have a separate USB-C interface related accessories.

The new iMac comes in two versions, with two Thunderbolt/ USB 4 ports and a smart keyboard. The high-end configuration is two Thunderbolt/ USB 4 + two USB 3 ports, equipped with Gigabit Ethernet ports and a wonderful keyboard with touch ID.

The price of Bank of China has been announced: starting from 10999 yuan for low allocation and starting from 12499 yuan for high allocation.
