1. Download MySQL

2. MySQL installation

Double-click the downloaded msi installation file, and the installation interface pops up to proceed to the next installation according to the instructions.

The following interface appears directly after running the installation package

Select Custom, and then Next

Select the installed products: MySQL Server, MySQL Workbench, and then Next

Click Execute to perform the installation

After performing the installation, you will jump out of the following interface, check the right number, and then install it.

Click Next after successful installation

3. Configure environment variables

To manipulate the MySQL database using the Windows10 command line, we need to configure the environment variables

Right-click this computer = > Properties = > Advanced system Settings = > Advanced = > Environment variable, and select the "New" button under the system variable in the open window to create the environment variable.

Create an MYSQL_HOME environment variable

Variable name: MYSQL_HOME, variable value: C:\ Program Files\ MySQL\ MySQL Server 8.0

Variable values can be selected by browsing the directory

Edit the Path environment variable and add:% MYSQL_HOME%\ bin at the bottom of the Path environment variable

When the environment variable is configured, click OK to return all the way.

4. Test the configuration of environment variables

Type net stop mysql at the Windows command line, but the error is reported below

At this time, the mysql name may not be written correctly. You can view the mysql name by typing services.msc.

As follows, the name of the MySQL I found out is MySQL80

Then in the input net stop MySQL80 test, at this time a system error occurred, denied access, this is because the operation authority is insufficient, it can be changed to the administrator operation.

At this point, you can directly search cmd, and right-click to run as an administrator, or directly open the location of the cmd file, then right-click the command line prompt, select properties, select shortcuts, select advanced, and check to run as administrator.
