On October 10, Dyson announced that its first floor washer product, Dyson Wash G1, was officially launched in China.

Chinese families have always had the habit of "sweeping the floor first and then mopping the floor". We are obsessed with the matter of "mopping the floor until it shines". Based on the unique wet cleaning needs of Chinese families, in the past two years, major household appliance brands have launched floor washing machine products, and the competition of floor washing machine race track has become increasingly fierce. When the domestic floor washer market rolls to a certain extent, Dyson, as a leader in the home appliance industry, has not "joined the bureau" for a long time. Just when everyone was wondering, Dyson WashG1 finally made his debut. This long-awaited product by Chinese consumers was developed and launched by Dyson based on the problems of existing floor washers in the market and consumers' daily pain points. it is said that it innovatively uses a "suction-independent" floor cleaning method and Dyson's unique triple solid-liquid separation technology, providing consumers with a cleaner experience "from floor washing to maintenance".

This time, NetEase Digital also got Dyson's first floor washer product, Wash G1. Through the actual hands-on experience, let's see how it is different from other floor washer products that we have come into contact with before.

What on earth is the product design concept that does not depend on suction?

When most floor washers on the market use "high suction" as a gimmick, why does WashG1 adopt the "suction-independent" way of washing the floor?

In this regard, Dyson floor cleaning category vice president Charlie Park gave an answer: "through research, Dyson found that if the floor washer relies on suction to wash the floor, it may lead to pipe blockage and odor, and the suction will continue to decline after pipe blockage, and the performance of suction-dependent floor washing will become worse and worse. Therefore, although suction is the strength of Dyson vacuum cleaners, as a floor washer, WashG1 does not rely on suction to clean the floor. "

From the perspective of past products, Dyson has always been able to achieve a leap in product experience through technological innovation, and I believe this is no exception. So, as Charlie Park said at the press conference: "since WashG1 will not rely on suction to clean the floor", what on earth does WashG1 rely on to clean the floor? Breaking through the cleaning principle of the traditional floor washer, Dyson's answer is: "double drive and four brushes" structure.

In the drum part, two opposite rotating main rollers composed of ultra-fine fiber material are designed at the front and rear ends of the Wash G1 floor washing head. through the precisely controlled water release system, the two rollers are evenly infiltrated and the floor is scrubbed continuously in the cleaning process. The design of the double drum also increases the residence time of the drum on the dirt during each cleaning, making the decontamination effect strong and efficient.

In addition, the Wash G1 is equipped with two built-in nylon brushes whose task is to scrape off solid dirt, debris and hair at an average speed of 250rpm when the main cleaning drum is cleaned at an average speed of 250rpm. At the same time, two stainless steel scrapers are arranged above the main drum to squeeze the drum and scrape off the sewage.

This "double-drive four-brush" structure can ensure that WashG1 can still provide high-energy floor washing performance without relying on suction, and effectively remove dry and wet dirt from the ground. In addition, the use of Dyson01 hard floor cleaner in combination with WashG1 can effectively remove 99.9% of the floor bacteria and further ensure the cleaning effect.

In the actual test, we can see that there is no doubt about the cleaning ability of Dyson Wash G1. Not only can you easily clean and sprinkle liquids, but even solid dirt such as hot sauce and dried oil, WashG1 can clean at once.

In addition, the hair winding problem has been solved for Dyson in vacuuming products, and the hair attached to the WashG1 main drum will be brushed off by a built-in nylon brush strip, which can be easily removed by users.

At the same time, WashG1 can switch between low, medium and high cleaning modes in real time, flexibly adjust water output and humidity according to different types of ground dirt, and basically do not leave difficult water marks on the ground. When users use the product, they can choose different modes according to their own needs and preferences. For example, the powerful mode is specially designed to remove dry stubborn dirt.

How can "solid-liquid separation design" make the maintenance of the fuselage cleaner?

After testing the cleaning effect, let's take a look at WashG1's machine maintenance experience, which is also a long-standing problem for many existing products-all kinds of dry and wet dirt are accumulated inside the machine, which is not only difficult to remove, but also causes the machine to "stink as it is used."

To solve this problem and make machine maintenance more convenient and clean, Wash G1 uses "triple solid-liquid separation technology"-Dyson engineers built two nylon brush strips close to the inside of the main drum to constantly brush off the solid dirt, debris and hair attached to the drum and throw the solid waste into a removable debris box; at the same time, the scraper above the drum keeps squeezing the drum and scraping off the sewage. The bottom tray of the debris box adopts grid design, and the mesh aperture is as small as 500 microns, which can effectively separate the sewage scraped by the scraper and the solid debris scraped by the brush. Under the action of the pressure difference, the sewage is pumped into the sewage tank, while the solid debris is left on the grid tray and will not enter the pipe of the machine, so as to effectively realize the solid-liquid separation, which can prevent the dry and wet garbage from blocking the pipe inside the machine. it is also more convenient for garbage dumping.

In this way, the cleaning of the WashG1 body becomes very simple:

1. Users only need to manually clean the debris box, sewage tank and hair entangled on the nylon brush strip of Wash G1.

2. Wash G1 is also equipped with "self-cleaning mode". After washing the floor, add fresh water to the water tank, then put the host back on the base and press the self-cleaning button to turn on self-cleaning (it is measured that the whole self-cleaning process is less than 3 minutes, and the noise is negligible).

The design of Dyson Wash G1 is "very Dyson"

Finally, I would like to mention the exterior design of WashG1. From the appearance, this is definitely a "very Dyson" product.

The Dyson Wash G1 consists of a charging station, a mainframe and a mainrod, and the battery module is detachable (with a life span of about 35 minutes and covering 290 kilos of daily floor cleaning). The size of the water tank is appropriate, the interface design is flexible, and the bending design of the handle part is also very recognizable.

In fact, hand experience, WashG1 is also more in line with the ergonomic concept, the cleaning process can not only easily push and pull back and forth, but also achieve flexible steering and edge cleaning. In addition, WashG1 uses a lower head height design, which can deeply clean some low places such as the bottom of the furniture and the bottom of the table.

The water tank of the Dyson Wash G1 adopts an integrated disassembly design, and the entire tank module can be easily removed by pressing the red button at the top. Compared with the sewage tank of other products, the sewage tank of Wash G1 is relatively small and has a wide mouth and no dead angle design, which is more convenient for users to clean later.

At the top of the fuselage is a clear water tank with a capacity of 1000 ml, and below is a sewage tank with a capacity of 800ml.

As Dyson's first real floor washer product, Wash G1 is technically different from the mainstream floor washer products in the market. It adopts the design concept of "independent of suction", integrates water release, infiltration and scraping technology, and at the same time automatically separates solid-liquid garbage. It can be said that "although it is late to enter the bureau, it is a blockbuster", which once again brings new ideas for competitors.
