To promote the connection of software talent training and evaluation between basic education and higher education in China, the project "NCT National Youth programming ability Grade Test" was launched in 2019, which is used to investigate the ability level of 6-18-year-old teenagers in computer programming knowledge, ability, literacy and innovation, in order to guide teenagers' artificial intelligence programming education to be scientific and standardized in order to adapt to the development of the times. Understand and examine teenagers' programming ability, application ability, innovation ability and computational thinking ability, so as to provide unified, objective and impartial proof of programming ability for youth development and social practice, and make new attempts and contributions to the implementation of national strategic planning.

As a professional evaluation platform for measuring the programming ability of teenagers in China, NCT has clear positioning, scientific and rigorous examination of knowledge points and ability level. it is the first programming grade project certified by the Educational Information Technology Standards Committee of the Ministry of Education (CELTSC) "Adolescent programming ability Grade" and the International Educational Technology Association (ISTE) "Student Standard" certification. Since its launch at the end of 2019, the number of students participating in the evaluation has exceeded 700000, covering 34 provincial administrative regions across the country, and has attracted young programming enthusiasts from many overseas countries and regions to participate, and its influence continues to expand.
