CTOnews.com, Oct. 30, OpenAI is currently launching a new beta feature for ChatGPT Plus members, with user feedback, this update includes the ability to upload and process files, as well as multimodal support. This means that instead of selecting a mode like Browse with Bing from GPT-4 's drop-down menu, users automatically guess what they want to do based on the context.

These new features allow ChatGPT Plus members to have some of the office functions provided by the ChatGPT Enterprise program. It is reported that after the file is passed to ChatGPT, it takes a few seconds to digest the file, and then it can process the file, such as summarizing the data according to prompts, answering questions, or generating data visualization.

CTOnews.com notes that the new features of ChatGPT are not limited to working with text files. On Threads, a user posted a screenshot of a conversation. They uploaded a capybara image, and ChatGPT can create a Pixar-style image based on it through DALL-E 3. Then they uploaded another picture, this time a twisted skateboard, and asked ChatGPT to insert it into the above picture, and ChatGPT succeeded, somehow putting a hat on the capybara.
