CTOnews.com, October 30 (Xinhua)-- Apple will hold a "Fast coming" event at 8: 00 a.m. Beijing time on October 31, when it may unveil some new products, including the new Mac and the new iPad. Before that, a regulatory database may have revealed some of the new products.

Last week, two Apple suppliers resubmitted some battery information about existing Apple products to China's regulatory database, including the latest 14-inch MacBook Pro, 16-inch MacBook Pro, Mac Magic Keyboard and iPad mini, according to MacRumors. The batteries were submitted before 2021 or earlier and were resubmitted last week with a release date for October 2023.

The newly submitted battery information is the same as the original battery capacity, indicating that Apple's new product will not have a change in battery capacity. However, due to the improvement of power consumption and efficiency of the new chip, the new product is still possible to provide longer battery life.

The resubmitted battery information may indicate the existence of a new product. For example, before the release of Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Series 8 batteries were found to have been resubmitted to the same regulatory database, and later Series 8 batteries were indeed used on Series 9.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman predicts that the 24-inch iMac will be upgraded to an M3 chip, while Mac's Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad accessories will be upgraded from Lightning to USB-C. Apple will include Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse in the iMac box. Gurman also expects 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro to be upgraded to M3 Pro and M3 Max chips.

It is worth noting that the document also includes battery information for the sixth-generation iPad mini, which may mean that the seventh-generation iPad mini will reuse the battery. Gurman reported last week that Apple does not plan to launch a new iPad before 2024, and Apple analyst Guo Mingyi said last month that a new iPad is unlikely to be released before the end of the year. Therefore, there is no guarantee that the new iPad mini will be released tomorrow.

Apple unveiled the sixth-generation iPad mini at its September 2021 launch. The next generation of models may be equipped with the A16 bionic chip introduced in the iPhone 14 Pro and may be modified to reduce the so-called "jelly rolling" phenomenon.

Rumors about the upcoming release of the new iPad earlier this month proved inaccurate. Instead, Apple just released a low-cost Apple Pencil in a press release with a USB-C interface. The new Apple Pencil will be available in early November, and the new product announced at tomorrow's launch is likely to be available at the same time.

All in all, the information found in the regulatory database matches the expected updates of 14-inch MacBook Pro, 16-inch MacBook Pro, and 24-inch iMac. Maybe a new iPad mini will be released, but since neither Gurman nor Guo Mingyi expect a new iPad to be released this year, it remains to be seen.

We will get a definite answer in 24 hours, when CTOnews.com will bring the relevant report as soon as possible.
