Yuhongjin Semiconductor held a "Media Open Day" on October 27, and made an on-site production line display and a detailed explanation of the upstream and downstream industrial chain enterprises on the "SuperIDM" put forward at the industry conference two weeks ago. A number of senior media from the semiconductor industry came to Fuzhou to visit and understand the whole production process of Yu Hongjin's "material epitaxy-chip process-packaging and testing" as well as self-research and domestic-supported semiconductor equipment. and introduced at the press conference of the whole industry cluster in the "upstream equipment material cluster, terminal product application ecological chain" content to do a detailed explanation and business sharing.

On the day of the open day, accompanied by chief scientist Shao Chunlin, Dr. Zhong, head of power electronic chip research and development, and General Manager Cai, head of closed testing business, media representatives visited the pilot line of Yu Hongjin's IDM whole process "material epitaxy-chip process-package testing" on the first, second and third floors of Yuhongjin's Fuzhou Industrial Park in Jiangxi Province. The layout is also designed to facilitate communication and collaboration among technical teams. The production capacity of Yuhongjin Phase I pilot line will reach 15,000 pieces per month, and the second phase production line next to the park will be capped by the end of this year, of which the first batch line is expected to be completed by the end of 2024, with a monthly production capacity of 60,000 pieces. After the second phase of the project is completed and put into production, the monthly production capacity will reach 250000 pieces, which will become the largest gallium nitride IDM plant in the world.

Yu Hongjin's reserve of equipment in the production line is also at the leading level in the industry. at present, it has more than 600 sets of equipment related to crystal growth, substrate processing, epitaxial deposition, chip manufacturing, module closure testing, and more than 20 sets of testing equipment for substrate, epitaxial and chip products, including more than 20 sets of key equipment MOCVD, and the self-developed MOCVD equipment has been put on-line and entered the final debugging stage, and has been demonstrated on the spot. The site also showed other domestic semiconductor equipment that had been put online, corresponding to the "SuperIDM" full-process production line mentioned by Yu Hongjin at the press conference and the industrial capability of self-research / support of domestic semiconductor equipment. During the site visit, Yu Hongjin also demonstrated the technical ability of epitaxial growth of gallium nitride materials on gallium nitride, silicon, silicon carbide and sapphire substrates, as well as all types of packaging devices for power electronics, laser and display, and radio frequency.

During the sharing and communication session, Chief Strategy Officer and head of Applied Ecology Zhang Lei explained the details of SuperIDM industrial cluster presented at the press conference, including the progress of upstream equipment and materials, downstream application products and brand business, as well as the capability model and practical case of the application product ecological chain team, as well as the course content taught at Xiaomi Business School (Barn Research Institute). The ability of the application team covers the whole link of "Market & user Analysis-Product definition, R & D and Design-Manufacturing supply chain Management-Omni-Channel Integrated Marketing".
