This "lesson" dates back to 2015, when the development team introduced a weapon, the revolver R8, as an alternative to the Desert Eagle pistol in CS:GO. However, the strength of this weapon is too high, leading professional players and ordinary players to complain that it has greatly upset the balance of the game. "We have learned a lot from R8, one of which is to be more careful when launching new weapons or making major changes to weapons, which need to be tested by players before they can be put into use."

According to Valve officials, counter-Terrorism Elite 2 is a free upgrade of "CS:GO", showing the biggest technological leap in the history of "counter-Terrorism Elite" (Counter Strike).
