CTOnews.com October 27, Nintendo 3DS and Wii U's eShop game store was closed on March 27 this year. Nintendo announced on the X platform today that it will begin to accept refunds of unused balances on 3DS and Wii U.

Officials said they had opened a "refund application channel for unused balances" as sales of the 3DS / Wii U Nintendo eShop stopped.

CTOnews.com learned that Nintendo currently has a refund application page online, where users can enter their own Nintendo ID and 3DS / Wii U device numbers, and enter the balance they want to refund. After all confirmation, the balance will be returned to the player's bank account within 14 working days.

In addition to manual refunds, Nintendo currently offers a converged Wallet (link wallets) feature that allows users to sync the balance from their 3DS / Wii U device eShop store to their Switch platform account to purchase games on the Switch platform. The converged Wallet feature will be available by March 2024.
