CTOnews.com, October 27, after the lifting of the ban on driverless taxis in Silicon Valley, Cruise's Robotaxi caused a number of accidents. CTOnews.com had previously reported that these driverless taxis frequently stalled, crashed and other accidents, and California automobile regulatory authorities announced a few days ago that they would suspend their related vehicle deployment and on the road.

Cruise said in a post on platform X today that it had suspended all driverless car operations in the public domain, effectively ending the company's self-driving taxi business across California and Miami.

Cruise, the X platform account of ▲ Touyuan Cruise, claimed that the suspension of its self-driving business was "to restore public trust" and that the practice had "nothing to do with any new road accidents" and that the company would take the time to review its "processes, systems and tools" and reflect on how to operate better in order to "win public trust".

Cruise also said it would continue to operate "supervised self-driving cars", which means that human operators will continue to sit behind the steering wheel of driverless taxis.
