David Jaffe claimed that several first-party studios in PlayStation were dissatisfied with the development direction of "service games" set by Jim Ryan, and that these studios were panicked by changes in the Last Survivor multiplayer project.

David Jaffe also said that Connie Booth, senior vice president of product development within Sony SIE, left because Connie Booth was forced to take full responsibility for the delay of the "last survivor" multiplayer project, while most of Connie Boothd's employees were fired.

According to an earlier report by Bloomberg, Sony's current bet on service games may not get what it wants in the end, whether it is a combination of "service games" and "story games" or an all-out bet on the former. Sony's future direction is still unknown.
