CTOnews.com, October 27 (Xinhua)-- Amazon today reported third-quarter 2023 revenue of $143.1 billion, an increase of 13% over the same period last year, and net income of $9.9 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 72.468 billion yuan), an increase of 244%.

CTOnews.com found from the results that Amazon's advertising service had a good momentum this quarter, with related revenue increasing by 26%, while Amazon's subscription service revenue increased by 14% and Amazon cloud service increased by 12%:

Revenue from online stores increased by 7% to $57.3 billion (currently about 419.436 billion yuan)

Revenue from offline brick-and-mortar stores increased by 6% to $5 billion (currently about 36.6 billion yuan)

Revenue from third-party sales of services was $34.3 billion (currently about 251.076 billion yuan), an increase of 20%

Revenue from subscription services increased by 14% to $10.2 billion (currently about 74.664 billion yuan)

Revenue from advertising services was $12.1 billion (currently about 88.572 billion yuan), an increase of 26%

AWS cloud services were up 12% to $23.1 billion (currently about 169.092 billion yuan).

From the perspective of operating profit, Amazon's North American retail business generated revenue of $87.9 billion (currently about 643.428 billion yuan) and operating profit of $4.3 billion (currently about 31.476 billion yuan) in the third quarter of this year.

International retail revenue is $32.1 billion (currently about 234.972 billion yuan) and a loss of $95 million (currently about 695 million yuan)

AWS Cloud Services has revenue of $23.1 billion (currently about 169.092 billion yuan) and operating profit of $7 billion (currently about 51.24 billion yuan)

The strong performance of advertising services has also allowed Amazon to continue to boost investment, and CTOnews.com reported yesterday that Amazon was testing its "AI generate ads" tool for sellers and providing advertising word generation services.
