CTOnews.com news on October 27, after the release of Renault Alpine plan in 2027, Renault Group unveiled a new design center: Renault Design Center in Latin America.

CTOnews.com noted that the new design center, located in the Elton Sena Industrial Park in Curitiba (Brazil), will be responsible for developing concepts and models for the Brazilian and Latin American markets. So far, Renault has five design centers around the world to help it design future vehicles.

The Renault Group has completed the Renault Latin American Design Center in the Elton Sena complex in San Jos é du Spieles (Curitiba, Brazil). The new design center, close to the group's three factories, will provide Renault with modern tools to design vehicles for the Latin American market and will enable local designers to participate in Renault's global creative projects with four other design centers.

Renault has set up a design office in S ã o Paulo since 2006. With the new facilities of the Renault Design Centre in Latin America, designers now have a 1220 square meter design center dedicated to creating from the origin of the product, the creative and conceptual stages of the model.

Indoor showroom design: interactive model and prototype evaluation room, equipped with a 360 °rotary platform and a 216inch HD screen for the demonstration, modeling and analysis of 1:1-scale 3D vehicles.

Outdoor showroom design: 500 square meters of outdoor space, with confidential isolation, allows models and prototypes to be evaluated from different angles and distances in the sun, and helps select colors and patterns.

Model studio: committed to the development of physical prototypes of different sizes, transforming 2D design into 3D design space.

Virtual reality Studio: visualize creative proposals in "real time" in 3D and HD

Creative lounge: an open space designed to promote interaction and brainstorming between teams to create concepts and development projects.

Brazilian designers contributed to the development of the Renault Kardian, which will be available in 2024. They are also involved in the development of the Renault Niagara concept car, which indicates that future production models will be launched outside Europe in 2027.

It is worth mentioning that Renault Kardian is mainly aimed at the South American market and is expected to be listed in Brazil first, based on the CMF modular platform.

The Kardian is equipped with split headlights, a thick front and rear bumper and Renault's iconic double grille; the taillights are C-shaped, and the high-end version is equipped with alloy wheels, roof longitudinal members, shark fin antennas and additional chrome parts.

The new car features an 8-inch central control screen and a four-spoke steering wheel, a brand new 1.0L turbogasoline engine and a six-speed DCT automatic transmission with a maximum power of 125hp and a peak torque of 220Nm.
