On October 28, 2021, the Guizhou provincial government signed a contract with Ningde Times to jointly build a lithium battery industry chain system from lithium batteries, upstream phosphorus and fluorine chemicals and battery materials to downstream market applications and battery recycling. On December 24, 2021, Ningde Guizhou Base started construction in Gui'an New area.

Guizhou Gui'an New area Management Committee issued a document that the first phase of the project is designed according to the high standard of "Lighthouse + Zero carbon Factory" and adopts advanced high-tempo, high-automation and high-flexible production line. The total investment is about 7 billion yuan, and the design annual production capacity is 30GWh power and energy storage battery.

"the Guizhou base in Ningde era adopted the most advanced production line, with an automation rate of 95%. From feeding to the output of the finished product, it can produce one battery in 1 second and one battery pack in 2.5 minutes. after the first phase of the project is put into production, it can achieve an output value of 15 billion yuan and create 3000 local jobs." Zhou Guoli, head of operations of Guizhou Company in Ningde Times, said.

In addition, Ningde Times also signed a cooperation agreement with the Guizhou provincial government on the construction of power exchange network facilities for new energy vehicles, the promotion of the exchange capacity of new energy vehicles, and the promotion of high-quality development of new energy industries, so as to jointly build a new energy market and industrial double highlands in Guizhou.
