According to the official announcement of the game today, the global sales of "Outer World" have exceeded 5 million, and two celebratory posters have been posted.

After a coma on a colonial ship bound for the far reaches of the Milky way, it took you decades to wake up only to find yourself in a plot that might destroy the colony. Explore a variety of planets and locations in the emerald colony, including the mysterious Gorgon asteroid and the intoxicating winery on Aridanos. When confronted with various factions vying for power, the character you choose will determine how the player-driven story unfolds.

In March this year, obsidian brought a new version of Extraterrestrial: astronaut selections to the game, which integrates two major DLC, "murder on Aridanos" and "dangerous Gorgon". Players with the original game can be upgraded at a discount.

In addition, the new version has a series of optimization upgrades, including support for 4K 60 frames, support for PS5 handle DualSense, addition of dynamic weather systems, role level limit adjustment to 99, and enemy and teammate AI upgrades.

Microsoft acquired Obsidian Studio in 2018. In May 2021, Microsoft confirmed that it had withdrawn the IP license and distribution rights of Extraterrestrial from R Star parent company Take-Two, so the sequel was also on the agenda.

The exact release time of "Outer World 2" has not been decided, and it has been confirmed that the debut will be added to the XGP subscription.
