CTOnews.com, October 26 (Xinhua)-- Samsung has set a target of 250 million smartphone shipments in 2024, according to South Korean media The Elec. Samsung is expected to ship between 2.2 and 230 million phones this year.

But due to the uncertain future of the smartphone market, Samsung is adjusting its shipping targets for flagship models such as the Galaxy S and the Galaxy Z, a foldable phone.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Samsung raised its forecast for shipments of the Galaxy Z foldable phone series next year to 20 million units.

Samsung estimates shipments of 10 million Galaxy Z foldable phones this year, including 3 million Galaxy Z Fold5 and 7 million Galaxy Z Flip5, compared with Samsung's previous estimate of 16 million this year.

Global smartphone shipments, which stood at 1.4 billion before the 2019 outbreak, recently fell to 1.2 billion, and it will take several years to recover.
