CTOnews.com, Oct. 26 (Xinhua)-- Mark Mark Gurman of Bloomberg today posted an article on Bloomberg that Apple plans to make major changes to its AirPods headphones from next year.

CTOnews.com found that Mr Gurman said the standard AirPods and AirPods Max would be updated "later next year", while AirPods Pro would be updated in 2025 and AirPods Max would be launched "around the end of next year".

Apple will phase out the second-and third-generation regular versions of the AirPods and offer two 'fourth-generation AirPods'' at different prices.

According to Gurman, the fourth-generation regular AirPods looks like a hybrid between the current AirPods and AirPods Pro, and Apple will use a shorter headphone handle. The high-end version of the standard AirPods will have active noise reduction features similar to AirPods Pro / Max, while the fit of the related headphones will be "improved".

However, it is not clear whether Apple plans to add speakers and USB-C ports to the fourth-generation AirPods charging box, similar to the current AirPods Pro.

In terms of AirPods Pro:

The third generation of AirPods Pro will adopt a new design and more efficient chips, and get the "hearing health" function. Apple is studying getting AirPods Pro to collect listening data to better serve as an alternative to hearing aids.

As for the AirPods Max, Gurman claimed that Apple will introduce more colors for the headset and replace the USB-C port.
