CTOnews.com, Oct. 25, BYD unveiled five new energy models and core technologies at today's 47th Japan Mobile Travel Show.

BYD showed off its pure electric sedan model at a Japanese station and announced that it would be available in Japan in the spring of 2024.

▲ source: BYD officially entered the Japanese passenger car market in July 2022 and has opened 15 stores across Japan, covering Tokyo, Osaka, Yokohama, Nagoya, Fukuoka and other cities. BYD plans to open 100 stores in Japan by the end of 2025 with local dealers and partners.

▲ Touyuan: it is worth mentioning that BYD Japan held a new product launch in Tokyo last month and announced the launch of its second electric car, the BYD Dolphin, in Japan. The local price of this model is 3.63 million yen (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 177000 yuan), the power battery capacity 44.9kWh, WLTC range of 400km. Prior to that, the BYD ATTO 3 went on sale in Japan in January this year for 4.4 million yen (currently about 215000 yuan).

BYD, which opened its first Japanese store in Yokohama, Japan in February, aims to open more than 100 showrooms across Japan by the end of 2025. With BYD Seal, Teng Teng D9 and U8 unveiling at the Tokyo Motor Show, the company is expected to launch more models in the Japanese market.
