During the flash sale activity period, a large number of users will visit Kuaishou's e-commerce platform at the same time, which puts forward high requirements for the concurrent processing ability of the system. Especially for anchors with hundreds of millions of fans, there may be millions of items per second in the studio, with a maximum of millions of requests per second, and the order trading link system supports millions of concurrency per second at the same time.

To this end, Kuaishou technology system uses a distributed system architecture to build an elastic container cloud platform, which can automatically expand and shrink container instances according to business requirements to meet the business requirements in high concurrency and high traffic scenarios. By using the elastic container cloud, Kuaishou can quickly expand the container instance during the second kill period to cope with the sudden increase in traffic and requests. When traffic and requests are reduced, the elastic container cloud can automatically shrink the container instance to save resource costs.
