After the failure of the task, the company quickly set up a zeroing working group to conduct in-depth analysis of the causes of the failure and find the fault location. Through a great deal of work such as production process review, fault tree carding, bottom event analysis, problem location and mechanism analysis, the fault cause and mechanism are identified, and the problem is reproduced through experiments.

The flight failure of Ceres-1 (Yao 11) carrier rocket is located in the ablation of the expansion section of the primary engine nozzle. During the processing of the screw hole in the assembly of the expansion section of the nozzle, the improper operation leads to the internal defects of the carbon cloth layer, resulting in ablation of the expansion section, which leads to the instability of the first flight attitude.

In view of the problem positioning, the company instructs the supporting production units to take a number of improvement measures, such as improving process operation procedures, refining operation requirements, strengthening operation procedures training, optimizing production process inspection and so on, so as to further improve the quality control of the production process.

Prior to this, Xinghe Power Aerospace has completed nine consecutive launches of Ceres I commercial carrier rockets, maintaining a success rate of 100%, and failed in the latest launch. The Ceres-1 carrier rocket is a four-stage small commercial carrier rocket independently developed by Xinghe Power Aerospace, which is committed to providing customized launch services of high quality and low price for commercial micro-satellites. The first, second, and third stages of the rocket use solid motors, and the fourth stage is the liquid upper stage (the part above the first stage of the multi-stage rocket). The rocket has a diameter of 1.4 meters, a total length of about 20 meters, a takeoff weight of about 33 tons, and a 500-kilometer sun-synchronous orbit carrying capacity of 300 kilograms.
