Vasu Jakkal, vice president of Microsoft Security Enterprise, claimed:

With the introduction of Security Copilot, our customers can handle writing complex queries based on natural language problems and summarizing security events, saving up to 40% time on core security operations tasks.

Security Copilot can provide expertise content, save them time, provide important content assurance for IT administrators, effectively improve the skills of security teams, and enable them to focus on the most influential projects.

The core technology of Microsoft Security Copilot is OpenAI's GPT-4 generative artificial intelligence and Microsoft's own security special model. Security Copilot looks like a simple dialog box, just like other chatbots. You can ask, "what are the security incidents in my enterprise?" It will give you a summary. But behind the scenes, it uses the 65 trillion signals Microsoft collects every day, as well as security expertise, to enable security professionals to track threats.

▲ source Microsoft Security Copilot is designed to assist rather than replace the work of security analysts, and includes a post-it board feature that allows colleagues to collaborate and share information. Security professionals can use Security Copilot to conduct incident investigations or quickly summarize incidents and help with reporting.

Security Copilot accepts natural language input, so security professionals can ask for a summary of a particular vulnerability, enter a file, URL, or code snippet for analysis, or obtain event and alert information from other security tools. All questions and answers are saved, so investigators can have complete audit records.
