CTOnews.com October 24 news, 14 years ago, on October 22, Microsoft officially released Win7 system. This classic desktop operating system, to some extent, is a salvation for Windows Vista.

Steve Ballmer (Steve Ballmer), then Microsoft's CEO, hosted the event in New York, where he revealed that 15 million people had tried out a beta version of the operating system, and the project became what is now Windows Insider.

According to Ballmer, 91% of people who have tested the candidate version of Windows 7 will recommend it to friends.

French Microsoft has also opened a pop-up cafe in Paris to promote the operating system.

Burger King of Japan has partnered with Microsoft to launch a "Windows 7 Whopper" with seven hamburger patties that have been on sale for only a few days.

Speaking of Japan, Linux founder Linus Torvalds was in Japan when Windows 7 was released. He walked into a Windows 7 promotion and took a picture of himself giving a thumbs up to the operating system.
