CTOnews.com, October 24 (Xinhua)-- Steam Link, a service that allows users to stream PC games wirelessly from the Steam library to other devices, such as televisions or mobile phones, was discontinued in 2018 and replaced by Steam Link applications with the introduction of Steam Link hardware in 2015.

Samsung brought the Steam Link app to its own TV in 2017, which was created and maintained by Samsung. However, after the launch of Gaming Hub, the Steam Link app is no longer available on new TVs. Gaming Hub focuses on cloud gaming services, including Xbox and Nvidia GeForce Now.

According to an article released by Valve earlier this month, the Steam Link app will stop providing services on Samsung TVs on November 30, 2023.

However, CTOnews.com notes that Steam means that users can still use Steam Link applications, including Nvidia Shield or Amazon Fire TV, on Apple TV and Android devices.
