CTOnews.com, October 23, according to @ Golden Pig upgrade package, AMD is preparing to launch two new Dragon Range series processors next year, named R9 7940HX and R7 7840HX, with a slightly lower frequency than the 7945/7845HX.

According to him, the AMD Ryzen 9 7940HX will be equipped with 16 Zen 4 cores with 32 threads, 16 MB L2 and 64 MB L3 caches, while the Ryzen 7 7840HX will have 12 core 24 threads, 12 MB L2 and 64 MB three levels of cache.

The existing Ryzen 9 7945HX has an acceleration frequency of 5.4 GHz, so the new 7940HX may have only 5.0 GHz, and the default TDP is expected to remain at 55W, up to 75W (cTDP).
