According to reports, XR calls refer to the audio and video services provided to users when they are on the phone. At present, they mainly include the call background (video background, ring back tone continuation, virtual background, background virtual), XR special effects, voice transcription / translation, remote cooperation / screen sharing, remote cooperation / whiteboard and other functions.

China Unicom said that the XR call test is a large-scale end-network test conducted by experts from all sides in 31 provinces. It has completed the testing of 32 mainstream mobile phones from five terminal manufacturers, namely Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, Huawei and Glory (CTOnews.com Note: specific models have not been announced yet), covering the main functions of XR calls.
