When it comes to Microsoft, people may think of developer tools, proprietary software and games. These are three things we have been doing from the beginning.

So, for us, games are areas where we think we can make a real contribution to the consumer market. If you look closely, you will find that people spend more time on games, while Generation Z will spend more time on games. Fundamental changes are taking place in the way games are made and spread. This is true for mobile phones, game consoles, personal computers and even cloud computing.

In view of this, we look forward to redoubling our efforts as both a game producer and a publisher. Now, we will become one of the largest game publishers and a company that builds a platform for games.

Nadella: for me, our biggest opportunity is artificial intelligence (AI). Just as cloud computing has changed all kinds of software, we think that artificial intelligence is such a transformative shift. Both search and our Office software suite will change dramatically.

The way we create documents and spreadsheets or consume information is changing fundamentally. As a result, the concept of Copilot we introduced will really revolutionize productivity and communication. The same is true of software development. In fact, human work, whether front-line work or knowledge work, can be enhanced through artificial intelligence Copilot, which will be the biggest change.

3. What do you think is the biggest risk facing Microsoft? What are you most afraid of?

Nadella: I've been looking for two things. In the field of technology, there is no so-called franchise value (franchise value). I have experienced four major shifts: first, the dominance of personal computers and Windows, then the rapid development of the web, mobile and cloud computing, and now artificial intelligence, and I am very concerned about fundamentally changing all kinds of technological changes.

If you can't adapt to the new technological changes, you may lose everything. The technological shift is one aspect. The other is the change of business model. You can't expect the business model of the future to be exactly the same as that of the past. Cloud computing is a good example.
