The annual base salary is $2.5 million (currently about 18.325 million yuan)

The stock award is $39.23 million (currently about 288 million yuan)

Non-equity incentive of US $6.4 million (currently about 46.912 million yuan)

Other compensation of $360000 (currently about 2.639 million yuan)

It is reported that Nadella's income declined this year, mainly due to the slowdown in Microsoft's revenue growth and its decision to freeze Microsoft's full-time salary. Although slightly below the financial performance target, 85.5% of the target was achieved under Nadella's operation, exceeding previous expectations, according to The Register.

It is worth noting that a large portion of CEO's annual compensation is linked to company performance, of which more than 95 per cent of compensation is linked to performance and 70 per cent of cash incentives are linked to pre-established financial indicators.

Comparing Nadella's pay with the median pay of Microsoft employees highlights the huge pay gap between chief executives and employees. According to the company's 2023 power of attorney, the median employee's total annual salary is $193770, a difference of 250 times.
