Today, Canon Japan quietly stopped producing all EOS-M cameras to make way for RF-S. Canon Japan's official website shows that all EOS-M camera bodies have now been discontinued, including the popular EOS M50 and M50 Mark II. Canon USA no longer lists any EOS-M cameras, and all EOS-M cameras are out of stock in Canon USA.

According to asobinet, Japanese EF-M shots are also in short supply, while on Canon's US website, all EOS-M shots are currently listed as out of stock, and other retailers may have different inventory levels.

CTOnews.com checked Canon's Chinese website and found that the body of the EOS M50 Mark II showed "goods have been removed from the shelves", while the EOS M200 showed "temporarily out of stock".
