CTOnews.com, Oct. 20, according to iOS developer @ mysk_co, Apple's recently released version of iOS 17.1 RC should have fixed the problem of reopening the "important location" option.

Apple wrote in the iOS 17. 1 update log: "fixed an issue where privacy settings at important locations may be reset during data migration or during the first pairing of Apple Watch."

CTOnews.com queried user feedback on posts, saying that after upgrading the iOS 17 system, it was manually turned off after finding options such as turning on important locations, but opened again after upgrading the iOS 17.1 RC version.

CTOnews.com previously reported that iPhone users need to check whether the "important location" option has been reopened after upgrading their iOS 17 system. Many users reported that the "important location" option would be reopened after upgrading iOS 17 in disabled state.

CTOnews.com attached the official introduction of Apple as follows:

Map App uses information about important locations from location Services to provide you with personalized services such as traffic route prediction.

Important locations are encrypted end-to-end and cannot be read by Apple. You can delete important locations at any time, such as deleting them to reset traffic route forecasts and similar personalized services.

Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > location Services > system Services, and then click important locations.
