CTOnews.com, October 20 (Xinhua)-- according to a recent press release from Apple, the push Notification Control Panel has released new delivery metrics, providing developers with a new way to learn more about the push notification performance of their applications.

Apple announced this feature at its WWDC conference in June, and CTOnews.com attached an official description as follows:

The push Notification Dashboard now contains metrics for notifications sent through the Apple push Notification Service (APNs) in a production environment. With the intuitive interface of the dashboard, you can view an aggregate view of delivery status and learn more about the various statistics of notifications (including detailed breakdown based on push type and priority).

Apple explains why push notifications for applications may be discarded or cannot be sent:

Your push token is no longer active on the target device because someone deleted your application or your application's push token has changed.

Someone disabled push notification for your application in Settings on the target device.

The push notification expires. You can adjust the expiration property accordingly for future notifications.
