Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, October 20 (Xinhua)-- according to a recent press release issued by Apple, it highlights the positive effects of pick ball and tennis on health.
Researchers at Apple Heart and Sports Research recently released an insight report, collecting large observational data sets and finding trends in pick ball and tennis physical training data, suggesting that both sports have potential health benefits.
Participants often played pick ball and tennis for long periods of time, and the average peak heart rate was less than 70% of the estimated maximum heart rate during recorded physical training.
The duration of peak ball physical training is slightly longer than that of tennis, while the average time of tennis physical training in the range of higher intensity heart rate is longer, and the average peak heart rate is higher.
The researchers also found a steady increase in the popularity of peak ball physical training, surpassing tennis for the first time.
After analyzing more than 250000 physical training sessions of pick ball and tennis recorded by study participants using Apple Watch, the researchers found that the average duration of physical training in pick ball (90 minutes) was slightly longer than that in tennis (81 minutes).
The researchers analyzed heart rate data to assess the intensity of the two physical exercises. The average peak heart rate of tennis physical training is 9 beats per minute faster than that of pick ball, the former 152 beats per minute and the latter 143 beats per minute.
Findings consistent with depression are rare, but PHQ-2 scores are lower among people who regularly play pick ball and tennis, the study found. Compared with all the survey participants, the PHQ-2 depression test results were 60.1% lower among those who regularly played pick ball and 51.3% lower among those who regularly played tennis, once again confirming the potential mental health benefits of physical activity.
The study found that peak ball and tennis physical training are popular in all adult ages, and both sports are more popular in men than in women.
CTOnews.com Note: pick ball, also known as "kimchi ball", is a game of hitting the ball with a racket, which originated from Bainbridge Island in Seattle, USA. It is most appropriate to say that it is a mixture of tennis, badminton and table tennis. It was invented by two people.
The name of the "pick" ball comes from a dog of one of the inventors who used to run with the ball in its mouth when it was first invented for trial play. The court of pick ball is exactly the same as that of badminton, except that the net needs to be lowered to the height of the tennis net.
