CTOnews.com October 19, Dell today released the new Precision 7875 tower computer with AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX series processors. Officials say this is Dell's most scalable and powerful AMD-based workstation in history.

The Precision 7875 Tower, designed for engineers, architects, creative people and product designers, has up to 96 cores, the largest number of cores of any single-slot Dell Precision workstation, officials said.

The Precision 7875 tower introduces a taller, deeper chassis than the previous generation, providing more space to cool the processor, and six PCIe slots for increased scalability. In addition, for the first time, the system is equipped with an integrated Wi-Fi slot in the Precision tower, which does not take up the space of the PCIe slot.

In terms of scalability, the Precision 7875 graphics card supports two 48 GB video memory AMD Radeon PRO W7900 or two 48 GB video memory NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada, storage capacity up to 56 TB, support 2 TB DDR5 memory.

The Dell Precision 7875 tower will be available worldwide on December 5, and the price will be announced shortly before shipment.

As IT House reported earlier, the AMD Threadripper 7000 processor was released tonight with a Zen 4 architecture with up to 96 cores and 192 threads.
