According to reports, the Z6 G5 A is equipped with AMD Threadripper PRO CPU, with up to 96 cores in a single slot, supporting up to 3 high-end NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada GPUs or AMD GPUs, and supporting 8 channels of memory. In addition, officials said HP's new workstation redesigned layout, increased airflow, built-in more than 20 temperature sensors to adjust fan speed in real time to maintain quiet operation. The Z6 G5 A has been rigorously tested for 360,000 hours, MIL-STD tested and certified for professional applications for durability. In terms of scalability, the Z6 G5A workstation offers six PCIe slots and 12 NVMe SSD slots.
The HP Z6 G5A is expected to be available in November 2023 and in other countries later this year.
According to an earlier report from IT House, AMD Threadripper 7000 processor was released tonight, using Zen 4 architecture, with up to 96 cores and 192 threads.
